A leading global equities investment fund is seeking an experienced Senior Equities Analyst to lead research coverage of US Utilities. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on portfolio construction and investment outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

• Take lead analytical responsibility for US Utilities stocks within the portfolio.
• Provide detailed modelling, valuations, and thematic insights.
• Provide deep research of your allocated companies, including meeting management, competitors, suppliers and customers. Engaging with external company experts and occasionally sell side analysis.
• Occasional trips to the US to meet management, attend industry events and other industry experts.
• Partner closely with Portfolio Managers to influence investment decisions across the portfolio.

We are looking for a candidate who has:

• Sector experience in US Utilities analysis – either through direct company modelling (listed or unlisted), investment banking transaction exposure, or equity research.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience post-graduation in a front-office equities analyst role or Investment Banking role with clear analytical responsibilities.

• A background that could include:
• Investment banking (having spent time in the US and transacted within US Utilities) with a strong track record advising US Utilities.
• Buy-side or sell-side equities analyst with significant experience analysing US Utilities.
• Exposure from an Australian or European context is welcome, provided the candidate has demonstrable insight into the US Utilities sector.
